M is for Moses or Momo or Mr. Mo or Mighty Mo or Moser or Mosey!!
By any name, he is the best school dog ever!!
Moses is an 11-year-old Goldendoodle (Golden Retriever and Standard Poodle mix) and a certified therapy dog with the organization “Love on a Leash.” He visits Reeder with his human, Mrs. Baldwin, at least twice a week and has done so since the building opened in 2005-06!
Moses has received many well-deserved accolades over the years including being recognized by the American Kennel Club as a “Distinguished Therapy Dog.” This is the highest title that the AKC bestows. He was one of the first dogs in the country to receive this title.
Moses’ days at Reeder are busy with a variety of activities. He loves to listen to students read, especially by his special reading bench! He cheers up sad students, serves as a reward for a goal achieved, teaches pet manners, receives lots of petting in the hallways and enjoys treats whenever they are offered!
Moses also makes community visits, usually to Lakeside Hospital and Brookestone Meadows Care Center. He is also a member of the Millard Crisis Response Team.
Moses considers Reeder his second home and he loves hanging out with his enormous “pack”!!
